Intermediate Bulk Containers
An Intermediate Bulk Container (IBC) is either a rigid or flexible transportable packaging designed for handling by a mechine such as a forklift.
Following many years of our highly successful award winning Intermediate Bulk Containers used extensively world wide, Technosearch have developed a totally new generation of I.B.C. Containers and related ancillary equipment.
The Pallecon Containersof various sizes from the first design using a wooden pallet as a base, through to the demountable Food Grade type up to the latest folding type with various types of lids were all developed and are manufactured by Technosearch. They are now used world-wide by major companies for liquid or dry products or as a security container.
This was followed by a further development of Unicon Containers which are also manufactured by Technosearch for the world market.
The new Technosearch Intermediate Bulk Containers are a major step forward, opening new fields with a large variety of styles and sizes from completely demountable up to foldable types with all components permanently attached together.
They can be used:
- to carry liquid of various viscosities
- to carry all types of dry products including the non flowing
- as security containers to prevent pilfering
- to increase protection of high value goods
The liquid containers are of capacity of 500 litres, 1,000 litres to 1250 litres. The carrying capacity is up to 2 tons in net weight.
The liquid front panel is fitted with a transparent sight glass and a sliding plate to lock the liquid bag outlet securely to the panel and has a unique folding half gate to enable easy placement of the liquid plastic bag into the container and insert the outlet into the discharge hole.
A cutter for the liquid bag membrane can be supplied with a stainless steel spring to prevent blocking or sucking of the bag into the outlet during the final discharge.
The Technosearch Intermediate Bulk Containers can have a single removable lid or can be fitted with sliding or hinged split lids.
If a Technosearch Container is used to carry products of very high viscosity or relatively high melting point (i.e. margarines, honey, heavy oils etc.), the container contents can be heated prior to emptying to lower the viscosity or melt the product for easier discharge.
Containers for carrying dry goods are fitted with a unique dry discharge gate or a hinged drop type pallet base. All containers are fitted with stacking lugs on top of lids to provide safe and secure stacking of units in transit and storage.
All Technosearch Containers can be locked or secured with seals to prevent opening and interference to contents.
